Choosing Sobriety and Accountability

“My life has improved in every aspect, I think because I’m not relying on something that could be so detrimental to me just to feel like myself… I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m still growing and I don’t have all the answers. And I’m okay with that.”

Taking the first step to overcoming addiction doesn’t have to be hard. Take some time to listen to Nico share his story of making the choice to pursue sobriety, along with the incredible ways his life has improved since.

If you’re considering entering a young adult drug treatment program at one of our Illinois rehabs, know that you aren’t alone and have a compassionate community cheering you on at Sandstone. Begin your journey by verifying your insurance or giving us a call.

Drug Use in Illinois

It’s no secret that there is an epidemic of drug use in Illinois. In 2022 alone, our state saw 3,261 deaths from opioid overdose according to the IDPH, which is an 8.2% increase from the previous year.

Teens and young adults are especially at risk for addiction due to academic pressure, the desire to fit in with peers, media and cultural influences, and the stress of preparing for adulthood.

If you’re thinking of breaking the cycle of substance use, know that it’s never too late to take the first step on your journey to recovery. At Sandstone Care, our rehab centers in Illinois are designed to support you on your path to a brighter future.

Depression Treatment

Depression is more than just feeling down for a few days — symptoms are long lasting and can affect you in many ways.

Anxiety & Bipolar Treatment

Anxiety disorders are thought patterns of fear, dread, and uneasiness that affect other aspects of your life.

Trauma & PTSD Treatment

Trauma is the emotional response to a specific event like an accident, sexual abuse, or a natural disaster.

ADHD & Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment

ADHD is marked by difficulty focusing, controlling impulsive behaviors, and over-activity.

Our Clients Experience Reduced Levels of Anxiety and Depression

At Sandstone Care, we know disorders like anxiety and depression can have a profound impact on one’s ability to enjoy life. That’s why our treatment programming addresses both addiction and mental health challenges.

In a recent study of people who completed treatment with us, the group reported a 57% decrease in anxiety symptoms. The same group also experienced a 78% decrease in symptoms of depression.

These are life changing numbers for our alumni. And for those experiencing addiction, they can be the difference between relapse and lasting recovery.

Icon Quotemark

Not only was the group supportive, but the support from the staff was amazing.

I initially came to Sandstone for IOP and it helped me get through a really though time in my life. I ended up staying through OP and I would recommend it to anyone that needs support with their mental health.

Treating Mental Health & Co-Occurring Disorders

Because there can be an overlap in symptoms between drug use and mental health disorders, it’s very important to accurately assess and treat both challenges together. If not treated this way, recovery can be much more difficult.

For example, if an individual with an anxiety disorder attends an alcohol rehab program, they may learn to stop drinking. But if the root cause of their drinking (the anxiety) is never resolved, they may turn to other unhealthy behaviors to cope, or even relapse in the future.

At our drug rehab centers in Illinois, we understand that everyone’s recovery journey is different. Our dual-diagnosis treatment covers the full scope of your needs and provides the holistic care.

We’re available 7 days a week to help answer any questions you may have.

You Have Questions. We Have Answers.

Our goal is to provide the most helpful information. Please reach out to us at (888) 850-1890 if you have any additional questions. We are here to help in any way we can.

The assessment is the first step for all of our clients. The primary reason for the assessment is for us to get to know you and your situation so we can recommend the right program for you, whether that is at one of Sandstone Care’s treatment facilities, or somewhere else.

When you come to our addiction treatment center for an assessment, we start creating an aftercare plan for you as part of your case management, so that you won’t have to worry about bridging the gap yourself between treatment services and your day-to-day life.

The amount of treatment needed is dependent on each individual. A licensed clinician performs a thorough and comprehensive clinical assessment to better understand the unique needs of each person.

Some factors that may determine how much treatment you need are:

  • The severity of your drug addiction or alcohol addiction
  • What types of substances you depend on
  • If you struggle with any behavioral health issues
  • Whether or not you would benefit from a residential program
  • How long you have had substance use disorder
  • Whether you have previously been involved with any other drug abuse rehab programs or substance abuse treatments
  • If you have attended a 12-step program

There are many signs that getting help might be necessary. Some signs may include changes in friend groups, under-performing at school, running away, participating in illicit activities, engaging in risky behavior, or acts of self-harm.

Sandstone Care has locations in both Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights, so whether you’re in Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, St. Charles, Springfield, or anywhere else in the state of Illinois, you can rely on our personalized mental health and addiction treatments to help you rebuild your life.

Currently, we do not accept Medicaid/Medicare. Reach out to our admissions coordinators who can help connect you with providers who do accept Medicaid/Medicare.

Family plays a vital role in the overall wellness of each loved one served, which is why we offer individual family sessions bi-weekly. During these sessions, we examine the role the family plays in reinforcing negative behaviors and creating new patterns of behavior. Connection is key in recovery, and we teach mindfulness exercises that can help rekindle and strengthen your relationships. Our program also utilizes weekly Multi-Family groups to reinforce new skills being learned in support groups.

Yes. We have an adolescent track, which is for teens ages 13-17, and a young adult track for individuals ages 18-30.

Cost depends on the location of the recovery center and insurance plans. We keep our treatment programs as affordable as possible while still maintaining the highest-quality healthcare. As a treatment provider, we are in-network with many health insurance providers and private insurances, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Atena, Humana, and more. Call our admissions team at (888) 850-1890 or verify your insurance coverage to find the best payment option for you.

As a disclaimer, we currently do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

You can begin the process by calling our admissions department. If you or a loved one are experiencing an emergency mental health crisis, please call the suicide prevention crisis line at 988 or SAMHSA’s national helpline at 1-800-662-4357.
