Why Age-Specific Care?

As we grow and change, our ways of handling addiction and mental health challenges change, too. Our treatment philosophy acknowledges this and leverages it to achieve effective treatment for everyone.

Whether you’re the parent of a teen who needs treatment, a young adult exploring outpatient options, or an adult in need of detox, you’re guaranteed to find what you need at one of our facilities. Explore our age-specific treatment below.

Being the parent of a teenager who struggles with substance use or mental health issues can be frightening. Many parents feel helpless and don’t know where to turn. If your teen is using drugs or alcohol or showing signs of mental illnesses, it might be time to consider treatment.

At Sandstone Care, we offer comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment for teens through our continuum of care that meets your teen where they are. And all of our teen programming offers academic support to make sure they stay on top of their schooling during treatment.

If you’re ready to find your teen the treatment they need, trust Sandstone Care to help your teen navigate their mental health struggles and overcome substance use disorder.

Young adults face critical life transitions, such as moving from high school to college, entering the workforce, or becoming parents. For those dealing with mental health or substance use issues, these changes can be especially challenging. And for many young adults, fear of judgment can make seeking treatment feel out of the question.

At Sandstone Care’s young adult rehab facilities, you’ll meet peers who know exactly what you’re going through and can support you. Whether you need detox or outpatient treatment, our continuum of care will meet you wherever you are in the recovery journey.

Don’t let the challenges of adulthood or fear of judgment stand in the way of your sobriety and mental health. Let our programming help you build a happier, healthier future.

With individualized treatment programs, small program sizes, and dual diagnosis treatments, your detox journey will make sure you are empowered to reclaim every part of your life. Our evidence-based methods will help you to battle your addiction, improve your mental health, and heal strained relationships with your loved ones.

It’s time to get back on your feet. From the moment you step through our doors, our skilled team is dedicated to supporting you, extending our assistance through every stage—from intake to aftercare.

Medical Detox Explained

30-90 days of on-site 24/7 treatment.

We provide residential treatment centers (RTCs) for teens (13-18) and young adults (18-30), treating mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.

Our teen RTCs treat adolescents in a serene setting with smaller group sizes and a focus on strengthening the family unit. The length of stay is 60-90 days. Our young adult RTC offers young adults a peaceful environment in which they can be treated for mental health challenges within 30-45 days. Both RTCs create a distraction-free space for healing, helping clients return to daily life feeling more balanced and well.

Transitional Living Program Overview

4 weeks of on-site day treatment.

Our Teen & Young Adult Day Treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), is a highly structured level of care that offers five days of robust programming a week.

Our mental health and substance use programming helps clients to stabilize, begin to understand their mental health and/or addiction struggles, and heal from them. We strive to help our clients become more like the person they want to be, without using negative coping strategies or substances to get there.

PHP Explained

12 weeks of on-site or virtual treatment.

Our Teen & Young Adult IOP, or Intensive Outpatient Program, consists of 3-4 days of weekly programming that treats mental health challenges such as depression, trauma, anxiety, and substance use.

IOP includes individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. This flexible treatment option occurs in the evening hours so you can continue meeting your school or work responsibilities while receiving care.
