Alcohol

The transition between recreational alcohol use and alcohol dependence can be a subtle one. But if you’re finding that you can’t stop drinking when you want to, you may have alcohol dependence.

Marijuana

Similar to alcohol use, smoking or ingesting marijuana has become normalized as a way to relax or take the edge off. When overused, it can make you feel unable to cope with life without using.

Stimulants

A stimulant is any drug that increases your central nervous system activity. Stimulants are used to heighten attention, hyperactivity, and alertness. Abuse of these drugs can lead to a variety of health problems.

Opioids

Opioids are a class of drugs that include synthetic opioids, pain killers, and the illegal drug heroin. These drugs, including prescription medications, are highly addictive.

Choosing Sobriety & Accountability

“My life has improved in every aspect, I think because I’m not relying on something that could be so detrimental to me just to feel like myself… I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m still growing and I don’t have all the answers. And I’m okay with that.”

Making the choice to start addiction treatment can feel intimidating, but with Sandstone Care by your side you’ll find support every moment of your journey. Watch the inspiring story of Nico, a former client who embraced sobriety and took action to change his life for the better.

Our incredible staff of counselors and therapists are ready to welcome you into our community. Call us today to learn more about our Tinley Park drug treatment program and schedule a visit to our beautiful facility.

Our Clients Experience Reduced Levels of Anxiety and Depression

At Sandstone Care, we know disorders like anxiety and depression can have a profound impact on one’s ability to enjoy life. That’s why our treatment programming addresses both addiction and mental health challenges.

In a recent study of people who completed treatment with us, the group reported a 57% decrease in anxiety symptoms. The same group also experienced a 78% decrease in symptoms of depression.

These are life changing numbers for our alumni. And for those experiencing addiction, they can be the difference between relapse and lasting recovery.

We want to address any questions you have that may be holding you back from finally changing your life. If you don’t find the answers to your questions below, then give us a call!

No one should have to delay their healing because of their circumstances, and that’s why our intensive outpatient programs (IOP) can be completed after your work or school responsibilities. These programs provide the support you need without forcing you to take a break from your daily commitments.

Our day treatment programs also include academic and vocational support from licensed teachers that can help you to not only keep your head above water, but actually start to excel in your school and work responsibilities.

It is also important to remember that addiction doesn’t listen to our schedules. If it is left untreated, it can cause significant disruptions in your academic and professional life that last far longer than the time you would take away for treatment. Focusing on your health now will help you to have the control and energy you need to excel in your academic and vocational goals in the future.

Seeking treatment doesn’t have to be a burden; in fact, it can actively lift the burdens your family is already carrying. Your addiction is likely already impacting those you love, and by taking steps towards recovery, you’re not only helping yourself but also aiding them in the healing process.

Involving your family in treatment can strengthen relationships and equip them with the skills to navigate their own emotional challenges. We offer support groups and family therapy to ensure everyone is taken care of. You cannot take this journey alone, and your willingness to seek help is often the crucial first step in breaking cycles of generational pain within your family.

The path to recovery isn’t always straightforward, and relapses can be devastating. If you’ve tried to get sober before, please know that you are not a failure. Addiction is tough, and seeking additional help is very wise.

At our Tinley Park rehab center, we only use evidence-based approaches that are proven to facilitate long-lasting recovery.

By using a blend of talk therapies like CBT and DBT, experiential therapies, and academic/vocational planning, we address the root causes of addiction and equip you with strategies to navigate life after addiction. We provide discharge planning and aftercare to make sure you have all the support you need to take the next step.

These methods are backed by scientific research, so you can feel confident that your recovery is not left up to chance.

At Sandstone Care, we understand that every individual we treat is unique. Unlike some outpatient recovery centers that offer one-size-fits-all solutions, we tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific needs. For instance, if you’re an adolescent, your treatment requirements may differ from those of young adults. The duration of treatment typically spans 2 to 12 weeks, influenced by various factors:

  • The substance you’re recovering from (e.g., alcohol addiction)
  • Duration and frequency of substance use
  • Potential benefits from behavioral therapies (cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), etc.)
  • Your overall physical and mental health
  • The necessity for medication management in drug abuse detoxification
  • Any underlying health conditions or mental health issues

Once you complete your substance abuse treatment programming, our discharge planners will sit down with you for an evaluation to discuss personalized aftercare options. The goal of our aftercare plan is relapse prevention to ensure your recovery results are lasting and sustainable.

Yes! Please contact our admissions team to complete an Insurance Verification to see if we accept your health insurance. If we do not, we may be able to provide you with referrals to find other treatment options, even if it’s not with us. Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Yes. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is proven to be effective in treating substance use disorders, especially in combination with evidence-based therapy and counseling. Our personalized programming is designed to learn your needs and goals so we can choose the best course of treatment for your specific challenges. By offering medically-supervised withdrawal from substances, we help our clients recover quickly and safely from drug or alcohol use.

We also recognize that not all situations call for MAT. Our medical team will evaluate your circumstances and determine what type of treatment is appropriate for you. Learn more about Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) here.

Connection is key in recovery, and loved ones play a vital role in the overall wellness of a person. That’s why we provide individual family therapy sessions bi-weekly to examine the role the family plays in their life and to help encourage connection.

Our case management team will work with you and your family to find the best way to foster that connection. Our program also utilizes weekly Multi-Family psychotherapy groups to reinforce new skills being learned in groups, as well as a source of support and guidance during the rehabilitative care process.
