Alcohol

The transition between recreational alcohol use and alcohol dependence can be a subtle one. But if you’re finding that you can’t stop drinking when you want to, you may have alcohol dependence.

Marijuana

Similar to alcohol use, smoking or ingesting marijuana has become normalized as a way to relax or take the edge off. When overused, it can make you feel unable to cope with life without using.

Stimulants

A stimulant is any drug that increases your central nervous system activity. Stimulants are used to heighten attention, hyperactivity, and alertness. Abuse of these drugs can lead to a variety of health problems.

Opioids

Opioids are a class of drugs that include synthetic opioids, pain killers, and the illegal drug heroin. These drugs, including prescription medications, are highly addictive.

Treating the Whole Family

At our outpatient drug rehab in Denver, we recognize the vital role family members play in the recovery process, along with the many ways a family can be affected by addiction. Family therapy during treatment at a teen and young adult rehab contributes to a more holistic and comprehensive approach to treatment.

We encourage families to attend family therapy sessions together at our drug treatment center in Denver in order to demonstrate support for the family member’s recovery, work towards overcoming obstacles together, heal relationships, and learn tools for healthy communication.

Our customized treatment plans consider the client’s needs, but also the needs of the whole family, offering free parent support groups. Whether a client is enrolled in our partial-hospitalization or intensive outpatient program in Denver, the recovery process is collaborative and provides a space for everyone to heal and grow together.

Addiction Treatment Denver: PHP or IOP

Our alcohol and drug rehab in Denver offers both Partial-Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs for teens and young adults. Both programs provide comprehensive compassionate care, but are tailored to your needs depending on the level of support you need.

Day treatment (PHP) patients attend therapy 5 days a week for 4 weeks. We recommend this program for individuals who need extra support overcoming their struggles with substance use.

Those attending our IOP receive treatment 3-4 days a week for a few hours at a time, allowing them to continue in work or school. Clients often step down to this program after several weeks or months in a day treatment (PHP) or residential care.

Knowing what level of care would be best for you is tricky! If you experience withdrawal symptoms when you try to stop using substances, this is usually a sign that addiction therapy could be beneficial. Sometimes it even takes an intervention from loved ones.

We are not another 12-step program only focusing on group or individual therapy; we specialize in developing diverse addiction treatment programs that cater to a variety of situations. No matter what level of care you need, Sandstone Care has a full continuum of services from inpatient treatment, to outpatient rehabilitation centers in Denver, to sober living environments.

Within our outpatient alcohol treatment and drug treatment programming, we also focus on mental health concerns. The most effective way to determine if outpatient treatment is the right path for you is to consult with a healthcare professional. Our dedicated admissions team is available 24/7 to provide advice and help you decide your next steps.

Every person that Sandstone Care treats is different. While some outpatient rehabilitation centers are one-size-fits-all, we tailor our treatments to meet our client’s specific needs. The average length of treatment is 2 – 12 weeks.

Some of the factors that impact the length of treatment are:

  • What substances you are in addiction recovery from (for example, alcohol addiction)
  • How long you have been drinking or using drugs
  • How frequently you have been drinking or using drugs
  • Your overall physical and mental health
  • Any other underlying health conditions you may have

Once your programming is complete, our Discharge Planners will sit with you to discuss your aftercare options.

If you are in need of a higher level of care, our Denver inpatient rehab at our Colorado Springs Detox may be the perfect place if you are a young adult. If you are a teen, then you may be interested in our Colorado Teen Residential center.

If you’re looking for a teen or young adult drug rehab, or a teen or young adult alcohol rehab near you, your healthcare provider can make a referral for an outpatient or inpatient center. Since alcohol and substance use are considered health issues, your insurance might pay for some or all of the cost of treatment.

Since alcohol and substance use are considered health issues, your insurance might pay for some or all of the cost of treatment.

Whether it’s inpatient or outpatient rehab you need, you want to be sure that the facility is licensed or accredited. In some states, a license is not required to operate. When a rehabilitation facility is licensed or accredited by the Joint Commission, they are held to a higher standard and offer a higher quality of treatment.

If you’re looking for the best outpatient rehab near you, Sandstone Care’s Denver rehab centers are some of the best drug and alcohol treatment centers in Colorado. Our expert medical staff can help you overcome substance use in a safe outpatient setting.

Loved ones play a vital role in your overall wellness. Individual family therapy sessions are offered bi-weekly to examine the role the family plays in creating new patterns of behavioral health. Our program also utilizes weekly multi-family psychotherapy groups to reinforce new skills and support your family during the rehabilitative care process.

Connection is key in recovery. Our case management team will work with you and your family to find the best way to foster that connection.

Sandstone Care’s Denver outpatient location is both a drug and alcohol rehab. We also provide dual-diagnosis treatment through which we treat underlying mental health issues.

Because alcohol is also a drug, “drug rehab” usually refers to treatment for substances including alcohol, marijuana, opioids, stimulants, depressants, and more. It’s important to remember that drug and alcohol rehab programs are usually not mutually exclusive. Some people may need treatment for both drug and alcohol addiction, which is why Sandstone Care treats both.

Whether you are considering a Denver drug rehab or a Denver alcohol rehab, it is important to choose a program that is right for you. Be sure to research different programs and talk to your doctor or a mental health professional to get recommendations for the best drug and alcohol rehabs near you.
