Alcohol

The transition between recreational alcohol use and alcohol dependence can be a subtle one. But if you’re finding that you can’t stop drinking when you want to, you may have alcohol dependence.

Marijuana

Similar to alcohol use, smoking or ingesting marijuana has become normalized as a way to relax or take the edge off. When overused, it can make you feel unable to cope with life without using.

Stimulants

A stimulant is any drug that increases your central nervous system activity. Stimulants are used to heighten attention, hyperactivity, and alertness. Abuse of these drugs can lead to a variety of health problems.

Opioids

Opioids are a class of drugs that include synthetic opioids, pain killers, and the illegal drug heroin. These drugs, including prescription medications, are highly addictive.

A Holistic Treatment Approach

Mental health struggles often occur alongside addiction. That’s why our addiction treatment center specializes in substance use and mental health treatment for adolescents and young adults.

Our mental health services include evidence-based treatment modalities, including individual therapy, group therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

This holistic, trauma-informed treatment approach ensures we’re treating your struggles at the source. When you receive outpatient services at our Colorado Springs rehab center, you can be confident that we’ll get the root of your issue so you can find lasting recovery.

Our Clients Experience Reduced Levels of Anxiety and Depression

At Sandstone Care, we know disorders like anxiety and depression can have a profound impact on one’s ability to enjoy life. That’s why our treatment programming addresses both addiction and mental health challenges.

In a recent study of people who completed treatment with us, the group reported a 57% decrease in anxiety symptoms. The same group also experienced a 78% decrease in symptoms of depression.

These are life changing numbers for our alumni. And for those experiencing addiction, they can be the difference between relapse and lasting recovery.

Partial-Hospitalization vs. Intensive Outpatient Programming

Sandstone Care offers both Partial-Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) in Colorado Springs, CO. But what does that mean?

Partial Hospitalization Programming (PHP)

PHP (or Day Treatment/Day Program) is designed for teens and young adults looking for highly structured care, either after leaving detox or leaving a residential treatment center. At 5 days of treatment a week for 4 weeks, this option is for individuals who need extra support, but aren’t looking for the full time commitment of an inpatient rehab.

Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP)

IOP is a step down from PHP, offering the same level of care on a less frequent basis. You will attend treatment 3-4 days a week for 12 weeks. This programming allows you to continue regularly attending school, extracurriculars, or work.

You Have Questions, We Have Answers

Our goal is to provide you with the most helpful information. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions at (888) 850-1890. We are here to help in any way we can.

If you experience withdrawal symptoms when you try to stop substance use, this is usually a sign of drug or alcohol addiction. In these cases, receiving addiction treatment services at a recovery center can be beneficial.

At our Colorado Springs Rehab Center, we offer addiction treatment programs in an outpatient setting, which means you would sleep at home, but receive treatment at our center during the day.

The most effective way to determine if outpatient treatment level of care is the right path for you is to consult with a healthcare proivider. You can also call our dedicated admissions team with any questions you have. They can provide advice and help you decide your next steps.

Our partial hospitalization programming (PHP) lasts 4 weeks, while our intensive outpatient programming (IOP) lasts 12 weeks. That said, your customized substance abuse treatment might vary based on unique circumstances of your situation.

Some of the factors that can vary the length of treatment are:

  • What substances you are in addiction recovery from
  • How long you have been drinking or using drugs
  • How frequently you have been drinking or using drugs
  • Your overall physical and mental health
  • Any other underlying health conditions you may have

Please note that the above time frames are for outpatient treatment only. Inpatient rehabilitation, or detox, lasts 5-21 days.

Once your programming is complete (either PHP or IOP in Colorado Springs), our Discharge Planners will sit with you to discuss your aftercare options, and make any needed referrals for continued care.

Yes! The first step in finding out if our drug rehab centers are right for you is to complete our quick and easy Insurance Verification to see if we accept your health insurance. Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

While, yes, we are able to prescribe medications to treat drug abuse, we also recognize that not all situations call for medication-assisted treatment. Our medical team will evaluate your individual needs and determine if medication management is appropriate for you.

Loved ones play a vital role in your overall wellness. As a part of the holistic treatment at our drug and alcohol rehab center, individual family therapy sessions are offered bi-weekly to examine the role the family plays in behavioral health. Our program also utilizes weekly multi-family psychotherapy groups to reinforce new skills and support your family during the rehabilitative care process.

Connection is key in recovery and relapse prevention. Our case management team will work with you and your family to find the best way to foster that connection.

We provide inpatient and outpatient centers across Colorado, including Denver, Boulder, Cascade, and Colorado Springs. See a complete list of our Colorado locations here.
