Right now there are a ton of treatment centers both in the United States and abroad. But not all treatment centers are created equally. There are a lot of factors to consider when looking for a treatment center for you or a loved one.
For teens and young adults, Sandstone Care has a full continuum of care that is State Licensed, Joint Commission Accredited and Legitscript Certified in Colorado, Maryland, and Virginia.
We have a variety of different programs available in Colorado and Maryland for young adults & teens who need help with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Sandstone Care provides age specific care for those who struggle with substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. We have treatment centers throughout the United States.
For clients over the age of 18 who would benefit from a higher level of care, we offer a medically assisted detox program at Colorado Springs Detox Center and Virginia Detox Center. This program consists of a 5-14 day detox and assessment program for clients who need stabilization during their drug and alcohol detox.
During a clients stay, our clinical and medical staff provides 24/7 medical supervision, individual therapy, detailed and individualized discharge plans, and a comprehensive physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual treatment program that clients are invited to engage in once they are stable.
Our Teen Residential program is designed to help teens who are struggling with mental health issues, trauma and/or substance use issues. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains adjacent to Pikes Peak, we provide a peaceful, home-like environment for teens to heal.
Our program addresses every aspect of their lives, from their physical and mental health to their relationships and schooling. This holistic approach ensures we treat more than symptoms to create lasting, positive change.
Weekly virtual family therapy sessions and parent support groups ensure that parents are learning, growing and healing alongside their teen.
Our holistic day treatment program, also known as Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), was created for young adults ages 18-30 who need a highly structured environment in order to succeed in their recovery.
Clients in this program will be involved in a variety of therapeutic groups and activities including academic and vocational assistance, group therapy, and experiential activities. Through the use of a variety of therapeutic methods, we are able to help clients stabilize and begin to understand and heal from their substance abuse and mental health struggles.
For clients who would still benefit from structure but do not require 40 hours a week, we offer an intensive outpatient program, or “IOP”. This program provides around 16 hours per week of clinical groups and activities including academic and vocational sessions, group therapy, and experiential activities.
This is a longer term program, and clients who have completed our day treatment program may step down into this level of care.
Our afterschool program provides 16+ hours of treatment per week. We support teens ages 13-18.
Our Virtual IOP program lasts 8-12 weeks with 10+ hours of live programming per week. Just like our in-person program, treatment takes place after work and after school, so there is less disruption from school and work. Clients and their family members are able to engage in secure and confidential telehealth sessions with our providers using a computer, tablet, or phone. We have age-specific programming for teens and young adults.
Our virtual IOP program offers the same programming that we offer in person, all online – this is ideal for those who live too far to drive to an addiction center, have transportation issues, or have health concerns that make in-person treatment challenging.
Our transitional living programs are where young adults find support and structure early in the recovery process. Sober living homes can vary widely in terms of quality and services provided. At minimum, sober living is a drug-free, structured living environment.
Recovery is about more than simply abstaining from drug or alcohol use. It is also about developing a sustainable, balanced, and independent lifestyle. Our men’s home is in Denver, while our women’s home is in Boulder.
That’s why we like to call ours recovery living. Our homes combine comfort and fun with structure and accountability. They are a “rally point” for young adults to reorganize themselves and stay centered on their recovery goals.
Additionally, a young adult can move into our sober living homes at the beginning of treatment as a way to add more structure to a day treatment or intensive outpatient services. This is called Residential Extended Care.
